Battle spirits saga: Blazing to the future
With the introduction of set 6 comes a variety of ways to enjoy the game of Battle Spirits Saga. Today i asked Battlecores product development lead his thoughts on the set. Here are his thoughts on the sets gift to the saga community.
“Hey guys! Asante here to give you guys thoughts on Battle Spirits Saga Set 6: Generational Link. In this set, we received support for three new color combinations, new abilities, and new strategies. Let's get into it!
First, the artwork:
The artwork continues to evolve on how gorgeous they look on the card. The only thing I wish they would do is be consistent on the artstyle between each card. For example, comparing the artstyle between Smokemaster Nicotiana Tamba and Woodpath Ninja Hagakure Hanzo. You go from harder line art to more brush stroke art. I get it, different artists, but it would be nice if the difference was so drastic.
The card stock is good as usual, but I will say, when it comes to some of the higher rarity cards, they made really good use of the foil to make the artwork really pop!
Third, The new abilities:
Agile is an ability that activates when a spirit you control that costs less than an Agile spirit in your hand survives a battle. By returning the spirit that survived the battle to your hand, you may then play the Agile spirit from your hand after paying its cost.
Feast is a new ability that's all about cooking up some tokens! When you activate Feast, you produce a small Supsprite token. Then each time you activate Feast, the Subsprite Token will grow until it becomes a large Subsprite Token, gaining new abilities along the way!
So that's about it for the Set 6 summary. It's definitely a set that will shake up the meta. But, only time will tell by how much.” -Isaac “Asante” Agyepong
